Merrill Lynch Identifies Telecom Technologies to Watch in 2005

Financial advisory company Merrill Lynch today came out with a list of the top 10 telecommunications technologies to watch in 2005. These are the technologies that analysts think will have the greatest impact on telecom stock prices and include both mature technologies and those that are still emerging:

1. Fixed-mobile convergence

2. 3G data services

3. Fiber to the home

4. Advanced DSL technology

5. WiMax

6. IP-TV

7. DOCSIS 3.0 and all-digital cable

8. VoIP

9. Video conferencing

10. WiFi phones
