VoIP Product News: Acme Packet Net-SAFE

Acme Packet, a provider in the session border control area, has released Net-SAFE (Session Aware Filtering and Enforcement), a security framework for session border controllers (SBCs).

In the news release, Seamus Hourihan, Acme Packet’s VP of Product Management and Marketing, says:

"The session border controller is in a unique position to defend the service provider’s infrastructure from attack and overload, since it provides the first point of communication and defense at the edge of the network."
