- 2 (6 or 5 ounce) cans albacore tuna, drained and flaked
- 1 boiled egg, peeled and chopped
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- ½ stalk celery, chopped (2-3 tablespoons)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon dried lemon peel
- 2 tablespoons dried onion flakes
- ¼ teaspoon mace
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons dill or sweet pickle relish (optional)
Directions
In a medium bowl, mix together all ingredients. If too dry, add an additional tablespoon of mayonnaise. Let rest for an hour.
Serve over lettuce for a salad, or as a sandwich, or as a tuna melt (open faced sandwich topped with cheese melted under a broiler.)
