2010 Channel Partners was Well Received

Early comments from those attending the 2010 Channel Partners conference outside Washington DC have been very good. While Broadvox did not exhibit, we did sponsor an education session, "Hosted VoIP for VARs". Although, our primary sales of SIP trunks is in support of our many partner IP PBX OEMs, we have launched GO!VBX (Virtual Business eXchange), formerly GO!Hosted, a comprehensive and aggressively priced hosted IP PBX solution. The reason to sponsor this session is to continue to educate current and potential channel partners about the benefits of representing both premise and hosted PBX products. There are many factors affecting the decision of business owners and IT managers regarding the selection of these products and how to deploy them.  Broadvox believes we strengthen your ability to win that business when you have both options available. It also assures your prospects and customers that you can remain a "trusted" advisor because your recommendation should be in their best interest not because it is the only solution or product that you represent.

Over the last eighteen months hosted offerings have seen growth beyond the traditional SMB markets to that of enterprises. As a result of the lower than desired economic growth, businesses of all sizes are making efforts to either delay or reduce major capital expenditures. GO!VBX and competing products can support those efforts.

Finally, properly selected and deployed, a virtual PBX is more than a hosted VoIP offering. It should support Unified Communications, telepresence, and collaborative applications. Anyone buying a state of the art IP PBX strictly to address VoIP is dong their company a disservice. Whether the purchase is for a premise or hosted solution, it is important for the purchasing decision to complement the company's business strategy and support future IT initiatives.

The discussion during Channel Partners hit upon these points and several others. Given the comments I received, Broadvox will continue to sponsor education sessions and I plan to attend 2011 Channel Partners in Las Vegas. See you there.

Enjoy the weekend.
