Ingredients
- 12 wings, with wing tips removed
- ¼ cup hoisin sauce
- ¼ cup light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped chives
- ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
Directions
Prepare the marinade by combing hoisin sauce, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes and lime juice in a large bowl. Rinse and dry wings. Add them to the bowl and stir to coat. Place in a plastic bag. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
Remove the wings from the marinade and place on a heated grill. Reserve the marinade to baste the wings. Place the wings on the grill and season with the salt, and cook, turning over every few minutes and basting with the marinade for the first 15 minutes or so. Stop basting and cook until done, about 8 to 10 minutes more.
Place the wings on a serving platter and garnish with the chopped chives and cilantro. Serve four to six.
