Ingredients
- 4 ¼ lb. ground beef patties
- 8 eggs (Prepared either sunny side up or over easy)
- 4 cups cooked rice
Brown Gravy
- 1 (15-ounce) can beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet or 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 tablespoons butter, cut into 3 large pieces
- Salt and pepper
Directions
Brown Gravy: In a medium saucepan over high heat, bring the beef broth, Kitchen Bouquet or Worcestershire sauce, to a boil. Reduce to a simmer. Mix the cornstarch and water and whisk into to beef broth mixture. Cook until the gravy has thickened to the consistency of cream. Whisk in butter 1 piece at a time. Season with salt and pepper.
Grill or broil patties to desired doneness, about 5 minutes on each side. Divide rice between 4 plates and top each with a patty, gravy and 2 eggs. Serves four.
