Consolidating Telcos

SBC buys AT&T, Qwest submits offer to buy MCI and now Verizon is apparently looking at MCI as well. What does it all mean? It certainly means there is change ahead for all communications sectors. VoIP, IP Videoconferencing, & IM are having a serious impact on how the new markets are being shaped and what features the end users are expecting. Mobile IP communications offerings and residential triple-plays using devices like set-top boxes will deliver VoIP, IP Video, IP Videoconferencing, Presence and IM everywhere we go. The telco M&A activity is an indication that the stage is being set for a real revolution in communications. It's about timewink
