Interesting piece of news from Polycom. The provider of unified collaborative communications solutions has announced enhancements to Polycom Unified Collaboration for IBM Lotus Sametime and IBM Lotus Notes, an integrated offering from Polycom enabling users of Lotus Sametime and Lotus Notes to instantly launch high-definition (HD) video and high-quality voice conferences using the familiar Click-to-Call and Click-to-Conference functions.
Additional enhancements add native scheduling of rich-media conferences within Lotus Notes, as well as SIP signaling support for Polycom HDX video endpoints, which enables users to instantly launch HD video calls. TO read more about the announcement read this TMCnet article.
Polycom Director of Technical Business Development Geri Mitchell-Brown will be taking the stage at the ITEXPO Friday Jan. 25 at 1:30 pm to discuss mobility in the business world. The presentation is titled “Making the Business Case for WiFi Telephony.”
