Carrius Technologies this morning announced relationships with Spirent Communications and Continuous Computing to provide enhancements to its integrated intelligent gateway solutions.
Carrius describes itself as "an innovator in carrier-grade intelligent VoIP switching and gateway solutions." The company's Compleat platform manages telephony functions such as signaling, media termination, call control and redundancy.

Carrius will use Spirent's Abacus 5000 IP Telephony Test System for testing of the Compleat-200TM intelligent IP gateway. The release describes how Carrius will use the test system:
"Carrius Technologies is using Abacus 5000 Test System’s extensive automation features to accelerate several thousand tests the company conducts as part of its stringent quality control. By streamlining its testing processes, the Abacus 5000 will allow the company to bring new carrier-class products to market faster with more features, functionality and enhanced performance."
The Continuous Computing relationship is described in this release:
Continuous describes itself as a provider of "high availability platform solutions that enable telecom equipment manufacturers to rapidly deploy converged communications." Carrius will use Continuous's IS-41/IS-826 protocol stack to expand its offerings in the wireless network market. The release says that Carrius chose the Continuous technology after identifying "a market need for an integrated gateway capable of supporting enhanced services in converged wireline, wireless, circuit and packet networks."
