T-Mobile and a Hamburger in Hamburg

I am in Hamburg to meet with customers - my first visit to this city. I finally ate a Hamburger in Hamburg! Previously, I have eaten a Frankfurter in Frankfurt, Peking Duck in Peking (Beijing), Buffalo Wings in Buffalo, Philly Cheesesteak in Philly (actually quite a few, considering I went to college there!), London Broil in London, and Parmigiano cheese in Parma. To complete my food city journey, I just now need to have some Genoa Salami in Genoa. I am really looking forward to that!

Given I am in Germany, it is no surprise that I see T-Mobile advertisements everywhere. In fact, if I see that magenta color anymore I will start to see yellow. Which reminds me, in my blog last week, I was talking about pricing for mobile plans and I visited the T-Mobile site. On the site, that magenta color is significant and in fact, it is a registered trademark (I cut a part of the legal language below). It's highlighted, but I did not dare highlight in magenta since, I don't know, maybe I can't.

T-Mobile and the magenta color are federally registered trademarks of Deutsche Telekom AG. stick together is a federally registered trademark, and Mobile Makeover is a service mark of T-Mobile USA, Inc. © 2009 T-Mobile USA, Inc.
But back to T-Mobile in Germany. On October 2, they ended a year-long promotion offering free on-network video calls. I've been an advocate of mobile video for a long time and I have to say that's an excellent promotion to help spur video calling.
