The 19th acquisition for Birch was announced today. According to the press release, "Birch has signed an asset purchase agreement to acquire the client base, accounts receivable and physical assets of Ernest Communications." This move comes less than a month after Birch announced its intention to acquire Lightyear Network Services.

Lightyear and Daystar were Metaswitch customers. I wonder if Ernest was a Metaswitch shop too?

"Birch will be providing service to business customers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and Puerto Rico."
