If your revenue is flat, like it has been for cellular, triple-plays and other flat markets, what do you do?
Well if you are an ILEC - like AT&T or C-Link - you raise fees. That's right. Just increase the fees on the bill, like CenturyLink is doing with voicemail and maintenance fees.
Centurylink has had dipping revenues but increasing profit. Hmmmm.
Prices (especially for T1 and bandwidth) have been dropping forever, so just sneak in some fee increases. It's basically profit.
