Ingredients:
- 3 slices bacon, chopped
- ¼ pound butter
- 2 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- ½ teaspoon basil
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
- 2 teaspoons Tabasco (adjust to your taste)
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 pounds large shrimp (21-25), split shells and deveined
- ¼ cup chopped cilantro
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375oF
In a sauté pan, fry bacon until crisp. Add all other ingredients except for the shrimp. Simmer for 5 minutes. Place the shrimp in a baking dish and pour the sauce over the shrimp. Stir to coat evenly and place into the oven. After 10 minutes, stir the shrimp again to promote even cooking. Bake for ten minutes more.
Remove from oven and stir in the chopped cilantro.
Serve with sliced sourdough or French baguette to soak up the sauce.
