Interactive Intelligence Gears Up For ITEXPO

Interactive Intelligence will have a big presence at the upcoming ITEXPO in Los Angeles, CA September 10-12. The company has been very successful of late, reporting second quarter jump in revenue of 40 percent to $27 million. Profit more than doubled as sales growth outpaced expenses.

I asked Joe Staples SVP, Worldwide Marketing to describe what attendees at the ITEXPO event can expect to see from Interactive Intelligence.

GG: Please describe your presence at the upcoming ITEXPO and Call Center 2.0 events.
JAS: Of the 40+ shows we do each year, ITEXPO is the biggest for us. In our booths we’ll be showing all of our primary products including those for the contact center, enterprise IP telephony, and enterprise messaging. We are also previewing our upcoming release that focuses on enhanced security, additional integration, improved mobility applications, and ease of deployment. Attendees should also keep an eye out for the “anti-innovation” protestors.

GG: Your CEO Dr. Don Brown is presenting a keynote speech at the upcoming event. Can you give us a hint as to what he might discuss?
JAS: I think Don’s keynote is the most interesting on the program. He is going take “unified communications” head on. There is a lot of confusion about the term in the industry — want it means and what value UC really delivers. Don will cut through all the UC clutter and focus on what’s real, what’s not, and the real benefits and future of UC.

GG: I see Interactive Intelligence is presenting at Reseller Solutions Day. Would you care to share some insight as to what topics you might address?
JAS: This really comes down to looking at where resellers can make money in this industry. Competition for resellers is as intense as it’s ever been and we have focused our sessions on helping resellers differentiate themselves through IP telephony applications instead of just being another vendor with a phone system. We are really focused on showing resellers how they can make money in this evolving market.

GG: What can attendees expect to see at the two Interactive Intelligence booths (#514; CC 138) on the exhibit hall floor?
JAS: The short answer is that attendees can expect to see the most innovative IP telephony and unified communications products out there.
