EndStream is a wholesale VoIP carrier. The company offers termination, origination services, prepaid services, a calling card platform and is currently working on a mobile platform.
The transition to wireless means that calling card companies are in trouble. EndStream has developed, based on their switching platform, a mobile app that can access their routing platform from a mobile carrier. The application platform allows calling cards, IXC or fixed line provider, to access a mobile device a charges the caller on a per minute basis from an account. The application allows for substantially faster and more mobile service than with a SIP platform and can utilize Wi-Fi and or 3G-4G data networks to provide seamless call access unlike with SIP.
This tech allows almost an instantaneous call connection and enables call recording as well as support for PCI or HIPA compliance through a cell phone. Something that has as of yet been difficult to achieve. The same tech could also be potential allow for an additional revenue streams by allowing those taking a call to bill the caller directly. Here’s CEO Erik Levitt and Marketing Manager Mindy Gordon Barnett showing off the application at ITEXPO East’s Editors Day.
