Yahoo Problems Getting Solved?

Painfully slow decision making and bad management are complaints I have heard about Yahoo! from ex-employees and consultants that used to work with/for the leading web destination. BusinessWekk has an article on the matter which discusses how Yahoo is losing top people and whether the Google deal makes sense and finally, if the company has enough time to turn things around.

The situation at Yahoo shows that even if you have have more eyeballs coming to your website than any other web destination, you need at least decent management to maximize potential and keep shareholders happy.

The problems extend to overloaded server. Half the time lately I either can't access Yahoo.Mail or it's sluggish. No problem with any other site. I emailed Yahoo! tech service about this but got an unresponsive reply--suggesting I empty my cache and upgrade Java. I was skeptical since only Yahoo is the problem, but I did so and no improvement. I may just have to dump Yahoo mail and use gmail.

Please explain to me why I cannot send an email from Yahoo.

Thank You.

In my own personal experience, and having been on numerous forums I see Yahoo's email problems have continued to soar recently. I have been a long time Yahoo! email user and was quite satisfied. However, in recent months, Yahoo has had ongoing, repeated issues. Currently, for weeks now (yes, I said WEEKS!) I have been unable to perform seaches in my email that will show any emails dated prior to June 30, 2008. After repeated contacts with Yahoo and HOURS wasted talking with them, still ZERO results. They continually give the same, lame line..."we are working on it, it will be resolved ASAP". They refuse to give even an estimated time table for its resolution. So, I find myself like many others now using my Gmail account much more regularly and have discovered all I have been missing! Gmail is sooo much more user friendly, more features...and fast! So unless Yahoo gets their act together, I am going to join many others who are moving all their email over to their Gmail accounts and discontinue my Yahoo altogether. With the combination of Yahoo's dismissive attitude toward their problems and their customers, along with Gmail's much better platform I am sure we will see the migration from Yahoo to Gmail by the millions, which according to the forums is already happening.

This month I've had 2 outgoing emails returned as undeliverable with Yahoo! email, and 6 incoming emails were sent back to people that tried to email me.

I wrote Yahoo, and they said my recipients ISP was to blame because it was saying there was no such address ( the one blocked outgoing email I sent them for research ).

I emailed them back and told them there were at least 3 different ISP's involved, and I didn't think they were all bad, and have heard no response.

I guess you get what you pay for sometimes ( Yahoo email is free ).
