GTT Communications has broadened its long-term alliance with Palo Alto Networks by integrating Prisma SASE into its Secure Connect portfolio. This move aims to deliver a fully managed single-vendor Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution to distributed enterprises such as healthcare systems, retail chains, and manufacturing operations that require flexible, secure access to data and applications across remote and hybrid environments.
Recently, we covered the company’s study regarding private clouds growing twice as fast as public and just a few weeks back, the expansion of the company’s DDoS mitigation capacity.
The enhanced solution combines GTT’s global managed network services and professional support with Palo Alto Networks’ AI-powered Prisma SASE platform. The offering includes a full suite of cloud-native security capabilities — software-defined wide-area networking (SD-WAN), Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) — wrapped into a unified, scalable service.
This strategic addition comes amid a broader industry shift toward simplified, integrated cybersecurity frameworks. As enterprises look to reduce complexity, improve operational resilience, and support mobile workforces, SASE architectures that unify networking and security have gained ground.
Zeus Kerravala, founder and analyst at ZK Research, commented on the shift, stating, “As enterprises accelerate their digital transformation, growing demand for agile, secure and scalable networks is driving the shift toward advanced security and robust networking in a single, cloud-delivered service.”
GTT’s Secure Connect, now powered by Palo Alto Networks, is also backed by EnvisionDX — a digital experience monitoring platform that offers customers end-to-end visibility, performance metrics, and policy control. EnvisionDX supports proactive performance management, which is increasingly critical as applications become more decentralized and user access more diverse.
“GTT is uniquely positioned to help enterprises access their data and applications securely from anywhere in the world,” said Tom Major, SVP of Product Management at GTT. “Our global reach and deep in-house expertise allow us to provide high-performing solutions with a unified architecture that meet and exceed security and compliance requirements.”

The Prisma SASE platform’s inclusion enables GTT to deliver cloud-native capabilities without requiring enterprises to stitch together multiple vendor products — a growing concern for IT teams dealing with complex, fragmented ecosystems. According to Palo Alto Networks, the joint solution is designed to support Zero Trust architectures across branch locations, cloud environments, and remote user devices.
“GTT brings deep expertise as a global managed security and networking services provider, with global connectivity solutions,” said Anupam Upadhyaya, SVP of Product Management at Palo Alto Networks. “Combining our AI-powered Prisma SASE with GTT’s managed services, we’re enabling Zero Trust branch architectures and helping customers achieve greater resilience and performance.”
The two companies have collaborated for more than a decade, historically offering integrated firewall services and secure connectivity to global enterprises. This latest enhancement builds on that foundation, giving customers a single point of delivery for security, networking, monitoring, and support — especially appealing to companies lacking the internal resources to deploy and manage their own SASE infrastructure.
GTT’s approach aligns with broader trends in the enterprise IT market. Many organizations are reevaluating legacy MPLS and VPN solutions in favor of more dynamic, cloud-delivered alternatives. By offering a full-stack managed solution, GTT and Palo Alto Networks aim to address concerns over performance, security posture, and operational complexity in one package.

The announcement also highlights GTT’s intention to position itself not only as a connectivity provider, but as a managed security partner capable of handling enterprise transformation. The company has invested in its global Tier 1 IP backbone, Envision orchestration tools, and cybersecurity capabilities to support this transition.
For distributed enterprises navigating the growing complexity of hybrid work and multi-cloud deployments, GTT’s expanded Secure Connect may offer a path toward simplification. Rather than cobbling together point solutions or struggling with vendor sprawl, customers can leverage one provider to deliver performance, protection, and visibility at scale.
As the market for SASE continues to mature, vendor consolidation and managed service integration are likely to remain priorities. GTT’s move to deepen its ties with Palo Alto Networks and bundle security, networking, and analytics into a unified offer appears well-timed to meet those expectations.
