On my Uber ride today the driver told me more and more of his customers at the airport are using a novel way to connect with him. The particular airport I flew out of didn’t allow Uber so the drivers just leave the property – waiting just outside the airport. In time, customers ping them directly, initiate a conversation and the driver comes and picks them up.

Apparently this gets around the letter if not the spirit of the law.

Here’s hoping this post doesn’t get Uber or the drivers in trouble.
