RAD Security Launches RADBots to Redefine How Security Teams Operate

Key Takeaways:

  • RAD Security introduces RADBots—specialized agentic AI-powered digital workers designed to streamline core security functions like investigation, compliance, and risk reporting.
  • New features include an integrated Inbox for command and control, real-time Q&A, and deep cross-stack integrations with tools such as Wiz, CrowdStrike, and Okta.
  • GRCBot helps automate evidence gathering and audit readiness, eliminating manual compliance efforts.
  • RAD positions this launch as a move toward operationalizing AI at the heart of security workflows, shifting from alerts to automation with context.

As AI reshapes enterprise operations, RAD Security is placing agentic AI at the center of security workflows with the launch of RADBots—an orchestrated fleet of named digital workers designed to automate core tasks like triage, compliance, investigation, and risk communication. Announced ahead of Black Hat 2025, this release marks a significant step toward contextual, explainable security automation that scales with growing risk complexity.

What Are RADBots?

Each RADBot is engineered for a specific role:

  • VulnBot focuses on vulnerability posture.
  • CloudBot handles cloud detection and response.
  • GRCBot automates compliance and audit readiness.
  • Ask RADBot enables dynamic investigation and follow-up through natural language queries.

These AI agents operate with real-time awareness of the user’s stack and workflows, surfacing risk contextually while eliminating the need to jump between fragmented tools. “Each bot is built for a specific job—triage, compliance, investigation, or prioritization—and operates with the full context of your environment,” said Jimmy Mesta, CTO and co-founder of RAD Security. “This launch brings our vision to life: automation that’s purpose-built, explainable, and deeply aligned with how security teams actually work”.

A Unified Inbox, Not a Mess of Dashboards

At the core of the RADBots experience is RAD’s Inbox, a structured interface where insights from each bot converge. Rather than overwhelming analysts with raw alerts, the Inbox becomes the central command surface—where updates arrive in human-readable summaries and risks are prioritized based on their real-world impact. Compliance managers, CISOs, and SOC analysts alike gain a shared, actionable view of what’s happening and what needs to happen next.

This system is designed to reduce alert fatigue, shorten investigation time, and clarify handoffs between roles. The Inbox reflects a larger shift in security from visibility to usability.

Ask RADBot, Anywhere

Another key capability is Ask RADBot, which integrates into RAD’s broader UI. Whether an analyst is looking at a policy violation or a flagged asset, they can query the bot in natural language and receive an answer that not only explains the risk but also recommends the next step.

Ask RADBot doesn’t operate in isolation—it draws from real-time signals and telemetry across integrated platforms. By incorporating partners like Wiz, Okta, and CrowdStrike, RAD enriches its contextual understanding and reduces false positives.

Audit-Ready Compliance with GRCBot

GRCBot tackles one of the most time-consuming and error-prone aspects of security: compliance. Rather than chasing evidence manually or rushing before an audit, compliance teams using GRCBot can self-serve real-time risk summaries, policy mappings, and audit output. This automation helps ensure teams stay “always audit ready.”

With growing regulatory demands and internal governance frameworks to follow, GRCBot could ease both workload and anxiety—delivering structure to what is often a disorganized part of the security lifecycle.

Industry Response and Strategic Framing

RAD’s approach has drawn praise from investors and industry leaders for going beyond summary generation and toward functional AI assistance. “As security leaders look for new possibilities with AI automation, RADBots are at the forefront of redefining modern security workflows,” said James Berthoty at Latio. “Where others offer mere AI incident summaries, RAD is introducing a new holistic user experience with agents at the center. It’s a novel, operational model that looks to combine agentic AI with robust cloud data”.

From an investment perspective, the bet on intelligent automation reflects long-term strategic thinking. “Agentic bots that automate, explain, and act are a powerful model for scaling security in complex environments,” added Ernie Bio of Forgepoint Capital. “As AI adoption grows across every sector, RAD is positioned to lead a multibillion-dollar shift in how teams operate—faster, smarter, and with clearer outcomes”.

Building on Momentum

RAD’s product launch coincides with a strong year of momentum. In 2024, the company was the only startup selected as a finalist in both the RSA Conference Innovation Sandbox and Black Hat’s Startup Spotlight Competition—winning the audience choice award. This year, co-founder and CEO Brooke Motta returns to Black Hat as a judge, highlighting the company’s transition from rising star to category shaper.

RAD is also a new member of the NVIDIA Inception program, which supports startups driving forward applied AI innovations. This provides access to technical expertise and ecosystem advantages that could help accelerate RAD’s roadmap.

A Broader Mission: Clarity in Security

Underneath the product and technical enhancements lies a broader philosophical shift. RAD is pushing back against legacy security tools that prioritize signal volume over clarity. With RADBots, the company wants to make security feel less like chaos and more like a guided process—where tasks are surfaced with context, investigated with confidence, and resolved with accountability.

“RAD is building the future of how security work gets done,” said Bio. The framing is intentional—less about replacing humans, more about equipping them. If RAD’s model succeeds, it might push the broader security ecosystem to rethink its dependence on dashboards and alerts—and adopt an agentic, outcomes-based mindset instead.
