Extreme Networks has announced the Limited Availability of Extreme Platform ONE, a comprehensive enterprise networking platform that integrates conversational, multimodal, and agentic AI — a first in the industry. The new platform is designed to unify network and security operations, streamline workflows, and cut task time from hours to seconds, offering real-time visibility and automation across every layer of the enterprise network.

According to CEO Ed Meyercord, “Extreme Platform ONE is transformative, saving customers hours, streamlining operations, and delivering insights that allow teams to act faster.”
Built for Visibility and Automation
Extreme Platform ONE introduces several new AI-powered capabilities:
- Agentic AI: A Service AI Agent automates diagnostics and can resolve issues across wireless and fabric in seconds. It also handles escalation to Extreme’s support center automatically, if needed.
- Conversational and Multimodal AI: AI is embedded into every interaction — from documentation search to report generation — through tools like AI Canvas, enabling faster decision-making and knowledge access.
- Workspace Simplification: A single role-based interface unites workflows for network teams, procurement, and executives. The result is fewer clicks and more efficient operations.
- Deep Visualization: Through geo maps, fabric overlays, and real-time topology views, the platform delivers full-spectrum visibility — from global network status to individual device policies.
- Integrated Security: Using ExtremeCloud’s Universal ZTNA architecture, the platform delivers AI-assisted access control that simplifies policy creation and enforcement with an advisory AI agent.
Andrew Smith, Head of Digital Service Delivery at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, shared his experience: “We can instantly see how everything’s connected, pinpoint issues before they escalate, and understand the full context behind what’s happening.”
Simplified Licensing and Growth Support
Extreme also emphasized its all-in-one licensing approach. Customers gain full visibility into assets and contracts, with easy renewals and hardware recommendations supported by AI.
Nabil Bukhari, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Extreme, described the significance: “There is no other architecture and management combination in the industry that gives you that much information about your end-to-end enterprise in real time.”
Industry analyst Jim Frey of Enterprise Strategy Group added, “Extreme is driving innovation with Platform ONE by unifying its portfolio into a single, powerful platform layered with AI and wrapped in a simple, intuitive UI.”
Availability
Extreme Platform ONE is currently in Limited Availability, with General Availability expected in Q3 2025. The platform is also available to E-Rate customers and Managed Service Providers.
