Communications News This Week

Here is a good article on TMC’s channels for the week. In it you’ll find a summary of many of the exciting things happening in communications this week. For example, Sonus had a sale of their IM-based products to Vistula Communications Services. The author writes:

“The company is deploying a full suite of Sonus’ IMS-based solutions, including the Sonus GSX9000 Open Services Switch, PSX Call Routing Server, SGX Signaling Gateway and the Sonus Insight Management System. Vistula is also utilizing Sonus’ Network Border Switch (NBS) to manage traffic between VoIP networks.”

In the triple play sector, NetCentrex announced that it exceeded 2 million Class 5 VoIP lines. According to David R. Butcher’s article, “Leveraging significant worldwide growth in residential voice over broadband (VoBB) connectivity and triple-play service bundles, NetCentrex customers are currently activating 5,000 lines per day.”

I could go on for a while. There is lots of exciting news in the channels. Click here to see Michelle Pasquerello’s TMCnet channel summary or feel free to browse the TMCnet channels yourself.
