Perhaps the most amazing innovation of the iPad 2 is the glass screen which is thinner and far more flexible. It is like plastic in fact as this video below shows. Think for a moment how much more useful screens would be if they were made from plastic and then it becomes clear how much more potential there is for future screens to be embedded everywhere without the fear of breakage. The video below shows that even from 2 inches up in the air and a piece of wood pressing down on it – this new glass just will not shatter. Quite an impressive improvement over the original iPad which is more brittle and shatters from one inch in the air.
