eBay is on an acquisition spree lately and one wonders if this is the result of their core market of auctioning products slowing. It is also possible the company has identified other exciting areas on the Internet and now that it owns the auction market it is trying its hand at diversification. As Ted says in his blog, this deal is a virtual drop in the bucket compared to the multi-billion dollar Skype transaction.
