Song Airlines Gone

Say goodbye to Song Airlines. The airline hasn’t made money and the planes are being absorbed by Delta. This is a sad day for travelers everywhere as the planes were first-rate, the service was amazing and the experience of flying on song had to be at least 3 times better than flying on Delta.

Without going on a limb I would say my worst Song flight was much much better than my best Delta flight. To all the flight attendants and others who worked at Song and made flying a pleasure, you will be missed.

Never heard of them until I saw Frontline on December 15 2005! The Frontline episode was about advertising. The fact that I never heard of them is a serious marketing problem in my opinion. Also, I think Song is simply a stupid name for an airline IMHO

In a world where some of the most well-known brands are Yahoo! and Google perhaps Song fits in better that we might have thought. Still they didn’t do much if any marketing that I am aware of so your original premise is probably dead-on.

I travel 3 Times in Song Airlines in 3 Years and now I miss them because this year 2007 I got to travel with Delta Airlines I like them too but Song was way better with there Menu to eat and Dish Network, Games, Movies, and Music. It was a great flighing with SONG AIRLINES.

I don’t agree with you about Song not flying anymore. I live close to the Atlanta airport and I see Song’s flying over my house at least 25 times a day.

The green 757-200s still have the Song livery and feature Song-like service. However the brand itself was absorbed back into the mainline Delta name.
I was on a “Song” flight on 11/11/2007 from FLL-LAS. Everyone was in Delta uniform but the organic meals were offered and the personal display units had satellite TV, movies and games. The only thing missing was those exercise balls they would give out. Nevertheless, it was 10x better than the 737-800 flight going back.

I flight between LGA and MCO some years ago, what can i say, that´s was a good airline, the service on board was great, the crew, all things in the plane, is very sad that a good airline is gone, but i think in this crisis times, a airline like song can be great, for their low fares and good services.
    Grettings for Colombia.
