KORE Surpasses 20 Million IoT Connections

Key Takeaways:

  • KORE has reached 20 million active IoT connections globally, encompassing SIMs and eSIMs under management.
  • The company plans to reach 30 million connections as its next milestone, backed by strategic customer partnerships.
  • Customers such as Linxup, Halo Collar, Intellishift, and others credit KORE’s scale, support, and network-agnostic capabilities for long-term success.

KORE Group Holdings has officially surpassed 20 million IoT connections, a milestone that signals the company’s continued expansion and operational capacity in delivering scalable, secure IoT infrastructure. This total includes both SIMs and eSIMs under active management, used in a wide range of deployments across industries and geographies.

KORE President and CEO Ron Totton

KORE President and CEO Ron Totton said the achievement reflects the strength of customer relationships and internal alignment around the company’s mission. “This milestone is a testament to the trust our customers place in us and the passion our team brings every day,” he said. “We’re accelerating toward our next milestone: 30 million connections.”

Founded over two decades ago, KORE provides IoT connectivity, solutions, and analytics at global scale. Its Total IoT Connections metric includes all active subscriptions across its managed network, which is carrier-agnostic and capable of supporting multi-region deployments.

A range of customers publicly praised the company’s operational reliability and ability to scale alongside growing needs.

Linxup President and CTO Naeem Bari credited KORE with offering “an effective and competitive carrier-agnostic bandwidth solution.” He noted that the company “provides proactive support to Linxup with a keen understanding of our business needs.”

Michael Ehrman, CTO of Halo Collar, said KORE has long been recognized as a leader in the IoT space. “They understand what it takes to deliver scalable, secure, and dependable service across various customer use cases,” he added.

Stephen Sims, Managing Director of Status Awareness Systems in Australia, noted the milestone serves as clear evidence of operational capability. “20 million active SIMs is no small feat,” he said. “It reinforces their position as a scalable partner that can support international expansion.”

Ryan Wilkinson, COO at Intellishift, reflected on a long-term partnership with KORE that has spanned more than 15 years. “We’ve been able to unify fleet operations through their connectivity solutions and have continued to expand as new needs emerged,” he said.

The announcement comes at a time when the global IoT ecosystem is evolving rapidly, with more enterprises requiring consistent performance across increasingly complex deployments. From connected logistics to industrial automation and asset tracking, organizations are placing greater value on resilience, observability, and cost control.

KORE’s emphasis on platform neutrality—working across major network providers and supporting multi-cloud integration—positions it to offer flexibility in deployment planning. That capability is seen by customers as a differentiator, particularly in edge computing and real-time sensor networks, where uptime and coverage are critical.

Achieving 20 million active IoT connections does not only mark a quantitative leap, but also signifies the company’s qualitative evolution. KORE’s platform integrates not just connectivity, but security, analytics, and lifecycle support—giving enterprises and MSPs a way to consolidate their IoT initiatives under a single vendor.

The next goal of 30 million connections may depend on continued investment in automation, geographic expansion, and partnerships that focus on vertical-specific applications like healthcare, automotive, and industrial manufacturing.

KORE’s visibility in the market has been steadily increasing over the past year, aided by new partnerships and customer wins across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The company continues to advocate for transparency in IoT provisioning, simplified onboarding, and stronger compliance frameworks—all of which it positions as core to achieving sustainable growth.
