I spent some time with Mehmet Balos Executive VP and CMO of Genband today and at one point in the conversation he explained the G9 gateway pictured here can handle 1.2 million femtocell subs in a 7 foot rack. This assumes one user per femtocell – if you have four per cell you divide the total users by 4 and get 300,000. Impressive.
