Reports swirled this morning that EBay is looking to pay between 2 billion and 5 billion dollars for Skype. This is an amazingly high valuation and yesterday I saw reports that the Internet telephony leader has approximately 70 million dollars in sales. This would make the multiple of sales 42.
If the deal goes through it would be another shot of adrenalin to a VoIP market that is sprinting not running along.
