I was one of the first users of the Verizon 1xRTT network and again their EVDO network. I just took the plunge and am now an EVDO Revision A customer. I just got the card working in my laptop. I am pretty excited. It is actually sad that having faster access while traveling makes me so happy but that is the sad reality.

 

Lately most of my work on the road seems to be in a car. It is amazing how productive you can be on a train, automobile or just about anywhere else. I just did some research to find out where EVDO (Rev. A) works and to my happy surprise, Verizon says their entire broadband wireless network has been upgraded.
