Little Giant Ladder System

I could never figure out how the Little Giant Ladder System could be worth so much money. As far as I can tell it is just some put together in a unique way. Then again you pay more for a Ferrari than a Honda. Still the branding and sheer ad dollars being spent allow the company to charge more for this ladder. Bose do does a nice job charging more than the average price for all its products.

Will a VoIP vendor ever figure out how to brand their service as superior and charge more? If you can do it with a hunk of metal why not phone service?

The problem? Most phone companies are run by unimaginative people who just can’t market. Vonage is excluded of course but what about the rest of you? Enough me too crap – how about some innovation and pricing power?

I believe the little giant is not a better product. One of the big problems i have with it is the locks when you set it up for the scaffold n the second part. You use the locking tabs on the two leg pieces to hook them together. The Gorilla ladder uses a seperate piece of metal shaped to fit into the two leg pieces that is much more secure. I have compared the two in an article. I think many of the as seen on tv stuff is a higher price because they have to pay for those tv spots.

I’m in the market for a ladder and was checking out different brands online and it seems like there are a lot of mixed feelings about both the little giant ladder and the gorilla ladder. The one thing I can tell is that some little giant ladder users are very much about the product. check out this guy over at flickr http://flickr.com/photos/52746363@N00/ kindof funny

I agree that the Little Giant ladder costs more than other ladders, but the quality is right up there. I’ve more confidence that this ladder will last a long time than i have for some of the cheaper alternatives. The hinge is also a strong, well engineered part that doesn’t look like it will give way soon.
For my part, having the little giant ladder saves me owning several others, i can clean the windows of my second storey home without having to own an extension ladder – so for me it is a done deal!

I don’t understand why all the countries sell triple extension ladders EXCEPT the USA. They really are more compact when let down
