Boy that was fast – just yesterday we said Apple lagged behind Samsung in the wireless charging world. Samsung supports up to 10W while Apple only goes to 5W.

What a difference a day makes as news just broke Apple didn’t want to lag Samsung by such a large amount so with iOS 11.2, iPhones will now be allowed to charge at a 50% faster 7.5W.

This is great news – faster charging is always better.

Since the Qi standard allows you to power a blender or even boil water, we are looking forward to ever-faster updates to allow us to more rapidly charge our wireless devices.
