Menlo Security Joins VMware SD-WAN Security Technology Partner Program

Menlo Security is really expanding its role in the cybersecurity space. You likely know them as the company that protects organizations from cyberattacks by eliminating the threat of malware from the web, documents, and email. They have further focused on various market segments such as finance and healthcare.

They have a range of services from a Global Elastic Cloud to a web gateway and spear-phishing prevention.

The company is now joining the VMware SD-WAN Security Technology partner program. Read to the end to see why we think this is great for customers.

The solution delivers Secure Cloud Transformation, which optimizes and secures local Internet breakouts and enables global low latency access to the Internet and business-critical SaaS applications for an enterprise’s entire local and remote workforce. The integration is available immediately to all VMware SD-WAN customers.

Poornima DeBolle, chief product officer at Menlo Security

“Menlo Security helps some of the largest enterprises and government agencies in the world transform their infrastructure and move security to the cloud, while maintaining global visibility and control of their traffic,” said Poornima DeBolle, chief product officer at Menlo Security. “VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud combined with the Menlo Security Cloud Platform powered by isolation redefines security and provides the industry’s most secure solution for Internet and SaaS applications.”

Steve Woo, senior director of product management at VMware

“VMware SD-WAN provides the optimal combination of intrinsic security in the multi-service Edge for corporate traffic as well as SD-WAN optimized access via our Network of Clouds Service gateways to the innovative Menlo Security Cloud Platform powered by isolation,” said Steve Woo, senior director of product management at VMware. “Access to cloud and SaaS applications is automatically provisioned, optimized for performance and secured with VMware SD-WAN and Menlo Security Cloud Platform.”

Earlier this year we reported that the company hired a new CMO, Young-Sae Song. He has quite a resume. he worked at Vidyo as the company transitioned from a standalone video company to one which API-enabled their platform to boost their growth rate. He went on to the data center group at AMD and then to Arctic Wolf – a company with provides SOC as a service for the MSP community – allowing an MSP to become an MSSP.

In all, the SD-WAN market is exploding with growth – we constantly report on this fact via market research and funding news. As a cybersecurity company, SD-WAN is a natural growth area. it allows a new way to get prospects – since most other cybersecurity companies aren’t really in the SD-WAN space – yet.

In all, a smart move for the company and also for customers as they get to have their SD-WAN and a full suite of cybersecurity tools – under a single vendor’s control.
