Nectar Attains Cisco Hosted Collaboration System (HCS) Certification

Good news for those who are looking to improve the voice quality of their hosted Cisco solutions.

Nectar is the first monitoring and reporting platform certified for Cisco HCS, encompassing a comprehensive certification process and building on Nectar’s previous work and certifications for Cisco Call Manager and other products.

“We are excited to be the first certified HCS monitoring solution partner to pass this extensive certification testing,” said Tom Tuttle, Sr. VP, Global Alliances for Nectar. “We place tremendous value in our partnership with Cisco and achieving HCS certification is a significant accomplishment for the entire Nectar team.”

A longtime Cisco Preferred Solutions Partner, this certification recognizes Nectar’s ongoing efforts and long-standing commitments in providing support for solutions across all Cisco call control environments. Nectar’s Unified Communications Performance Management platform and recently released Nectar 10 solution are the premier management platforms for Cisco voice, video and real-time collaboration services. Nectar provides comprehensive, real-time visibility across complex, multi-vendor ecosystems for the applications, network, and endpoint health domains, supporting millions of users and endpoints worldwide.

“Our entire collaboration monitoring portfolio plays a significant role for Cisco HCS deployments and helps our service providers and customers enjoy the best Cisco experience possible,” said Steven Purcell, Sr. Director Product Management at Nectar. “We provide the necessary monitoring and diagnostics tools for collaboration to help ensure the user experience—whether they operate in a cloud, on-prem or hybrid ecosystem.”

Sachin Vengurlekar, tekVizion COO commented, “The program for Cisco ecosystem partners was designed to test, validate and certify the functional and non-functional elements of the Application Under Test that are integrated into Cisco HCS. The certification achieved by Nectar demonstrates performance, scale and resiliency required of HCS applications and the company’s ability to meet these requirements.” tekVizion is the only independent lab to provide HCS certification for third-party Unified Communications applications.

As the cloud becomes more important and UCaaS solutions proliferate, it is important for companies to be able to monitor and track the voice quality of all their conversations – on-prem and in the cloud. This big Nectar and Cisco news is a step in that direction.
